LIVE! Global Program in Technology in Education
This graduation ceremony was broadcast live. Below is the archived version.
About the Program
The Technology in Education Global Program is a 15-month program, with courses offered in Geneva, Switzerland, and online, leading to a master's degree emphasizing meaningful use of technology for teaching topics of global importance. It is offered by the University of Michigan, through UM-Flint's School of Education and Human Services. The program includes two 3-week summer residencies in Geneva, with all other coursework offered online. The program is appropriate for anyone interested in the potential of educational technology at a global level, and it is ideal for educators preparing to take leading roles in schools, colleges, non-governmental organizations, cultural institutions, businesses, and other organizations poised to use technology for educational purposes.
Building on over 30 years of research and development at the University of Michigan in the use of technology in education, participants learn to design innovative technology-mediated experiences for learners. Working with partners drawn from non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and other international institutions, participants design, pilot, and evaluate new educational activities that connect learners to current knowledge and issues.
Please contact us if you are interested in applying to future cohorts. We will be accepting applications until November, 2010 for the next cohort, which is scheduled to start in May, 2011.
